هونغ كونغ م.إ.خ -18  سبتمبر 2023 – استقبلت مجمع هونغ كونغ للعلوم والتكنولوجيا وفدًا رسميًا من الإمارات العربية المتحدة بقيادة وزير الاقتصاد مما يشكل علامة فارقة في العصر الذهبي لعلاقات الشرق الأوسط وهونغ كونغ وتعزيزًا لتعاون النظام الإيكولوجي للابتكار والتكنولوجيا في هونغ كونغ مع الشرق الأوسط.

معالي وزير الاقتصاد الإماراتي عبد الله بن طوق المري يترأس وفدًا رسميًا في زيارة إلى مجمع هونغ كونغ للعلوم بما فيه مركز الروبوتات الطبية متعدد القياسات تحت مبادرة InnoHK (من اليسار) معالي وزير الاقتصاد الإماراتي عبد الله بن طوق المري، معالي القنصل العام للإمارات العربية المتحدة بهونغ كونغ الشيخ سعود علي المعلا، البروفيسور صموئيل او، مدير مركز الروبوتات الطبية متعدد القياسات، الدكتور صني تشاي، رئيس مجلس الإدارة، ألبرت وونغ، المدير التنفيذي، و المهندس والدكتور هل يو، الرئيس التنفيذي لتطوير الشركات لمجمع هونغ كونغ للعلوم والتكنولوجيا.

كان معالي وزير الاقتصاد الإماراتي عبد الله بن طوق المري في هونغ كونغ لحضور قمة الحزام والطريق التي دامت ليومين، وزار مجمع العلوم كجزء من خط سير رحلته. وجاءت الزيارة بعد قيام وفد بزيارة الإمارات العربية المتحدة في شهر فبراير بقيادة الرئيس التنفيذي لهونغ كونغ، جون لي، وحضرها رئيس مجلس إدارة مجمع هونغ كونغ للعلوم والتكنولوجيا، دكتور صني تشاي.

زار الوفد المرافق –الذي تضمن ممثلين من القطاع الخاص بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة- مركز الروبوتات الطبية متعددة القياسات التابع لمبادرة InnoHK، بالإضافة إلى مركز الخبرة لمجمع العلوم. كما التقوا بكبار المسؤولين التنفيذيين لمجمعات العلوم والتكنولوجيا بما فيهم دكتور تشاي، والرئيس التنفيذي، ألبرت وونغ لمناقشة كيفية فتح أفاق جديدة للمشاريع التقنية وكذلك استكشاف فرص التنمية ذات المنفعة المتبادلة.

التقى الوفد بشركات من مجمع العلوم وشبكة خريجيها بغرض التوسع في الإمارات العربية المتحدة. تتضمن الشركات كورنرستون روبوتيكس، وإف جيه ديناميكس، وفلوشيب، وفريد، ولالاموف، وميت ذا نيكست، وبرينتيكس، ورايس روبوتيكس، وسينس تايم، وسمارت مور. كما أجرت شركات محددة مناقشات منفصلة مع الشركات الإماراتية التي أبدت اهتمامها بشراكات محتملة.

Interior Minister, UAE Chargé d’Affairs discuss boosting cooperation, Damascus

Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammad al-Rahmoun, discussed with the Chargé d’affaires of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Damascus, Abdul Hakim al-Nuaimi, the joint cooperation.

Al-Rahmoun described the historical relations binding the two countries as deeply rooted, highlighting the importance of strengthening them in various fields.

Syria highly appreciates the role played by the UAE in supporting the government’s efforts in relief operations for those affected by the earthquake, through rescue teams and the relief and humanitarian aid it sent to the affected areas, as well as its assistance in other various fields.

The Ministry of Interior is keen to take care of the interests of the Emirati community in Syria and provide them with all facilities, Minister Al-Rahmoun stressed.

Syrian-Cuban talks on enhancing cooperation in health sector

Minister of Finance, Dr. Kenan Yaghi, head of the Syrian delegation participating in the G77-China Summit meeting, discussed with Cuban Minister of Public Health, José Ángel Portal Miranda, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in health sector.

Minister Yaghi affirmed the Syrian government’s real intention to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Cuba in all fields, especially in pharmaceutical and vaccine domain through the agreements signed between the two parties with consideration of renewing and expanding them.

He also attached great importance to signing other agreements that help confront the unjust and illegal sanctions and blockade to which countries are exposed to by the US and some Western countries.

Miranda stressed the importance of the Syrian delegation’s participation in Havana Summit.

He expressed his country’s full readiness to push forward cooperation ties with Syria in a way that achieves mutual benefit for the two countries and the two friendly peoples and meets Syrian medical and pharmaceutical needs, including vaccines produced by Cuba.

During the meeting, it was agreed to follow up on what had been reached upon through practical steps and mutual visits between both countries.

US troops’ presence in Syria is illegal, Kanaani says

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani reiterated that the US troops’ presence in Syria is an occupation and an illegal act.

“No action can be taken in Syria away from the opinion of its government and its people,” Kanaani said on Monday in the weekly press conference

He added that the U.S. must respond to the Syrian government’s demand to withdraw from its territory and stop plundering its resources.”

Syrian-Cuban talks on boosting cooperation in various fields

Syria and Cuba discussed prospects of bolstering cooperation in various fields, particularly in higher education.

That came during a meeting between Minister of Finance Kenan Yaghi and Cuban Minister of Higher Education, Walter Baloja Garcia.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of G77-China Summit held in Havana.

Yaghi stressed the Syrian government’s willingness to strengthen and upgrade the bilateral relations between both countries in all fields, specifically scientific one, universities, scientific research institutes, and mutual scholarships.

In turn, Garcia welcomed the Syrian delegation participation in the summit, wishing prosperity and recovery for Syria.

He underlined the importance of this meeting to discuss enhancing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
