RAHI RAISES ANNUAL PRAYERS IN APPRECIATION OF FRANCE

Government & Politics

Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi presided over a mass service on Monday in appreciation of France in presence of French Ambassador Herve Margo and a number of political figures.

During the sermon, Al-Rahi considered that Lebanon’s tragedy resulting from the interaction of external and internal interventions had made it lose its positive and effective neutrality.

The Patriarch also prayed for France’s intentions, considering that “for Lebanon and for the world, France is a sign of hope for the values of freedom, equality and fraternity.”

Finally, he hoped that France would remain a beacon that lights the paths towards a better world and a new humanity.
