Ramallah – Ma’an – Palestine Telecommunications Company/Jawwal disclosed the results of its business and consolidated financial statements for the first quarter of the year 2024, where the company achieved total revenues amounting to 57.5 million Jordanian dinars, compared to 74.2 million Jordanian dinars in the year 2023, a decrease of 23%. It achieved a net profit of 6.2 million Jordanian dinars for the first quarter of 2024, compared to 11.3 million Jordanian dinars for the same period last year.
This decrease comes mainly as a result of the continued aggression against the Gaza Strip, which led to repeated interruptions to services, and granting citizens in the Strip hundreds of millions of free minutes, messages, and Internet services, in addition to the decline in the exchange rate of the shekel against the Jordanian dinar by about 4% compared to the same period. than last year, given that most of the company’s revenues are in shekels.
