Italy, US Discuss Support for Tunisia to Stop Illegal Immigration

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani affirmed, in a phone call with his US counterpart Antony Blinken, his country's readiness to closely cooperate with the United States of America to achieve stability in Tunisia and try to stop illegal immigration flows from its coasts.

During the call, Tajani said that his country considers Tunisia an active party to the security and stability of the Mediterranean, stressing Italian authorities' readiness to closely cooperate with the European Union and the US to contribute to Tunisia's stability.
