Manama, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee affirmed that Bahrain's hosting of the World Cup of Fencing for Juniors in the individual and team category (women’s saber weapon), reflects Bahrain's status as a destination for major sporting events.
HH Shaikh Khalid said this during the conclusion of the Junior Fencing World Cup Championship competitions on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the Isa bin Rashid Volleyball Hall in the Isa Town Sports City.
Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, General Sports Authority’s CEO; Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC); Shaikh Ibrahim bin Salman Al Khalifa, President of the Bahraini Fencing Federation, were present.
HH Shaikh Khalid awarded the winning teams.
Uzbekistan, won the team first place, the Bulgaria team came second and the Kazakhstan team third.
