CONGRATULATORY MESSAGES FOR QATAR UNIVERSITY’S CLASS OF 2022

Dr. Eiman Mustafawi, Vice President for Student Affairs:

As you join your fellow Qatar University alumni in the labor market, you will contribute to achieving your personal ambitions and goals, as well as serving the Qatar National Vision 2030. You are the main drivers in building the nation, characterized by sustainable development and a strong knowledge-based economy.

I urge you to continue on the path of excellence, in all your respective fields and to have high ambitions. We will always be proud of the graduates of our national university, who seek success and best practices, armed with the expertise and skills they have gained during their university life. Graduation is the start of a new phase of learning and development, where you will benefit from the experiences of others.

Dr. Khalid Al-Khater, Vice President for Administration and Financial Affairs:

As we celebrate the graduation of a new batch of Qatar University students, it is my pleasure to congratulate the Class of 2022. I wish for them to have a career that will give them a secure future and will allow them to contribute to the nation. Our graduates will give back to the labor market using the skills they learned in their academic studies. I reiterate that Qatar University will remain the first expertise house in Qatar and opens its doors for graduates to continue lifelong learning.

Prof. Mariam Al-Ali Al-Maadeed, Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies:

We are delighted to graduate a new class of students from Qatar University, students who believed the promise and achieved the dream, and attained the certificate in the end. This moment is a milestone in the lives of our sons and daughters, who were faced with challenges and yet made their way towards building their personal and professional lives, even despite the harsh conditions imposed by the pandemic.

Qatar University is proud of you and is proud of the modern and stimulating education and research environment that you have received. The University has nurtured your talents and prepared you with skills in various disciplines. And you –the students- have taken on a great responsibility, you have spent years working hard over the course of an ambitious journey.

Your academic journey has ended, but seeking knowledge never ends. Qatar University will remain with you, even long after graduation. I wish you great success in your future endeavors; you are the pride and prosperity of our nation.

Dr. Ahmed Al Emadi, Dean of the College of Education:

Our dear students, the future of the country. On a day like this one, voices rise and speak for you; you have exerted a great effort to reach this moment. Here today, you see the highest congratulations extended to you and the best of wishes. Thank you for your diligence, for your commitment and your keenness to move forward in your education. And do not forget the role of your parents in helping you to get to this point. I congratulate you on this distinction and for obtaining your degrees and starting a new life in the professional world, where you will work towards building the community. Today you have reaped the rewards of your efforts and today you announce your responsibility to contribute in raising this nation.

Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Al Ansari, Dean of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies:

My sons and daughters the graduates, I congratulate you, on behalf of the community and nation, on the occasion of your graduation. You are now transitioning from being the responsibility of the nation, to being responsible for the nation, and our nation expects and awaits from you greatness, just as the world expects from our country a great deal. So be good ambassadors for this country and its values, religion and morals.

Know that caring for others and seeking to improve their conditions, is one of the most honorable of professions. If you do so with integrity and sincerity, surely you will lift the nation to progress and prosperity.

Prof. Adam Mohamed Ali Fadlalla, Dean of the College of Business and Economics:

It is my pleasure to congratulate the Class of 2022 on their success and their graduation. This convocation is the culmination of years of effort in your journey to seek knowledge, and I hope that you will continue on the path of learning and work for the benefit of the nation entrusted to you. Dr. Khalid Kamal Naji, Dean of the College of Engineering:

Today we celebrate the convocation of the Class of 2022, a successful batch of students who have excelled in their studies and who we are all immensely proud of. Today, these graduates stand on the precipice of a new journey. They have proved their commitment and their strength during their academics and will now embark on their professional careers. We wish them the best of luck with each step they take towards their future, and to advancing the nation.

I heed the graduates, to work to serving their country, to give back and to be loyal soldiers in the mission of leading a prosperous nation. I also urge you to refine your skills and to innovate and be creative, in all your respective fields, and to be passionate about developing yourselves and discovering all that is new in your areas of expertise.

Dr. Omar Al-Ansari, Vice President for Academic Affairs:

My sons and daughters, it gives me great pleasure to congratulate you on the occasion of your graduation, which is a turning point in your life, your future and the future of the country. Qatar University will always remain your second home; it will keep its doors open for you, providing you with knowledge, whenever you need it. It is the house of expertise, in an array of disciplines.

Remember always that many eagerly anticipate your successes and the impact you will leave on your communities and on your nation. For this reason, be even better than what is expected of you, you are the source of all the achievements that we are proud of.

Dr. Marwan Abu Hijleh, Dean of the College of Medicine:

It is an honor to be able to graduate another accomplished batch of graduates and be able to celebrate their success. Our graduates have exemplified incredible resilience, they have displayed compassion and a remarkable work ethic and we, at the College of Medicine, are immensely proud of them and privileged to be a part of their journey. I am certain that our graduates will go on to accomplish great things and we eagerly await to see what the future will bring them.

Dr. Asmaa Al-Thani, Vice President for Health and Medical Sciences:

Qatar University has provided for you the ideal academic environment, tailored to your specific academic ambitions. Prof. Ahmed Elzatahry, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences:

I congratulate you, our students, on this happy occasion. You have proved to be a landmark in the history of Qatar University, you are the batch who pushed through and insisted on continuing your academic journey. I hope that you will continue to succeed in your various fields of work, using the experiences you have gained and the tools of the digital age, which avail you the opportunity to excel and compete with merit. Dr. Feras Alali, Dean of the College of Pharmacy:

I congratulate you all, on the occasion of your graduation. I hope that you will strive to develop pharmaceutical care and to offer your best, in building the nation, with your knowledge, thought and work. This is not foreign to you, as you are graduates of the College of Pharmacy in Qatar University, which has achieved advanced positions in global rankings.

Be an example of excellence, of overcoming obstacles, as you have demonstrated following the challenges imposed by the pandemic.

Prof. Mandeep Singh Duggal, Dean of the College of Dental Medicine:

Congratulations to our graduates on this happy occasion, which you have reached through your diligence and determination to study and succeed, even under difficult circumstances for more than two consecutive years. I wish for all of you continued success, growth, and distinguished careers.

Dr. Muna Al-Marzouqi, Dean of the College of Law:

This is a special and happy moment, I congratulate all of our dear graduates and to their families as well. We anticipate that through the graduation of the University’s College of Law students, they will leave a good impact in spreading legal culture, for societies that are keen on regulations and laws. We also hope that our graduates will employ what they have learned at Qatar University to protect the nation and its interests both at home and abroad. You are the wealth and the pride of the nation.

Hanan Abdul Rahim, Dean of the College of Health Sciences:

On this occasion, I can only say to our graduates, congratulations to you and to your families!

I remind you that the health sector is increasingly in need of you and your expertise following the circumstances of the pandemic. You must rise up and contribute to addressing this challenge.

I hope that you can be ambassadors to the College of Health Sciences, as you care for patients, take care of their lives and work to develop and improve the health sector. I know you are able to accomplish this; because you have proved so during the past two years. Moreover, do not forget to learn all that is new in your respective fields. The one who does not know the last word, will surprise us every day with something new.
