At Least 11 Killed, 50 Injured, in Apartment Building Fire in Vietnam

At least 11 were killed from a massive fire in an apartment building in the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi.

According to medical sources, more than 50 other people, including children, were injured and were receiving treatment in various hospitals, the local media reported.

The Vietnamese authorities said that about 150 people lived in the ten-story building in the Thanh Xuan district of Hanoi, and it is not clear how many people were in the house at the time of the fire.

According to the Vietnamese police, the fire broke out late Tuesday evening and has been extinguished for reasons that are not yet clear.

Emergency teams are searching for more victims among the rubble.
