EGYPT WARNS HAMAS OF AN “ISRAELI MANEUVER” WITHIN TWO WEEKS

Egypt warned the Hamas movement of the necessity of reaching an agreement regarding hostages in exchange for a ceasefire with the Israeli occupation army within two weeks, otherwise the Israeli army will conduct a maneuver in Rafah, according to the Wall Street Journal. According to Sky News Arabia, Al-Aqsa TV affiliated with the Hamas movement, quoting a senior leader in the movement, said on Sunday that 'any ground attack by the Israeli enemy army on the border city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip means torpedoing the exchange negotiations.' He added: "Netanyahu is trying to evade the entitlements of the exchange deal, by committing genocide and a new humanitarian disaster in Rafah." The New York Times quoted a senior Western diplomat in Cairo as saying, 'Egyptian officials urged their Western counterparts to inform the occupation army that they consider any move to force Gazans to cross into Sinai as a violation that would effectively suspend the 1979 peace treaty.'
