Zakat Fund’s revenues reach AED75 million since 1 Jan, 2012

ABU DHABI: The revenues of the Zakat Fund this year up to the end of August reached AED75.83 million, a 6% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to the Secretary General of the Fund Abdullah Bin Akeeda Al-Muhairi, the Fund’s revenues in the same period last year reached AED71 million.

He attributed the increase to the strong support extended by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces as well as the donors who entrusted the fund to dispense their zakat.
