The Works Ministry is keen to develop sustainable infrastructure solutions in regions affected by rainwater pools, by modernising and developing rainwater drainage networks and providing infrastructure with high specifications to ensure its quality and sustainability, Minister Ibrahim bin Hassan Al-Hawaj said.

Al-Hawaj was speaking while paying a field visit to the Al-Lawzi region, where he took stock of the progress of the projects implemented by the Works Ministry to improve the quality of the infrastructure there and address the issue of rainwater pooling.

He indicated that the short and long-term infrastructure projects are part of the government’s efforts to implement strategic plans to keep abreast of the ongoing urban development.

The minister was briefed on the implementation progress of the projects, urging those in charge of them to complete them according to schedule, while adhering to security and safety requirements at work sites.
