The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will hold an emergency meeting on Sunday to discuss the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian cause.
Brazil, currently holding the rotating presidency of the UNSC, called for the emergency meeting to prevent escalation of the situation between Palestinians and Israelis. The Council will hold its usual monthly session on October 24.
