UN: More than 370 Thousand Displaced People in Iraq Last June

Baghdad, July 04 (QNA) – The United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq ( UNAMI) announced that more than 370 000 people were displaced from their homes in Iraq during the month of June.

In a press release issued today UNAMI said the International Organization for Miganization (IOM) has identified the needs of the 375 354 recently displaced people in 390 areas in Iraq during the month of June alone.

The statement added that the most urgent needs of the displaced people are basics such as clothes, coolers and household utensils, adding that 73 per cent of the require support in addition to the food, shelter and health care for children.(QNA)
