Abu Dhabi, The United Arab Emirates dispatched a new relief aid plane to El Arish, Egypt, today, carrying 90 tons of humanitarian and food supplies, in preparation for delivery to Gaza.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the aid on this flight, part of the “Gallant Knight 3” operation, includes 450 tents, food parcels, and dates. This brings the total number of flights from the UAE to El Arish to 238 since the launch of “Gallant Knight 3.”

The UAE launched the “Gallant Knight 3” initiative on November 5, led by the Joint Operations Command of the UAE Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Zayed bin Sultan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and other humanitarian organisations in the UAE. The initiative aims to provide urgent relief support to the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The UAE’s efforts have included transporting relief aid to Gaza via 395 flights, of which 103 participated in the airborne “Birds of Goodness”
operation, and six cargo ships to El Arish and northern Gaza from the UAE and Cyprus. Additionally, 1243 trucks carrying various aids have been mobilised. In total, 33,000 tons of food, health supplies, and shelter materials have been provided. This humanitarian approach reflects the UAE’s longstanding commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in various circumstances, continuing its tradition of launching humanitarian initiatives to assist them in the current crisis.
