The project, which will the largest health and tourist project in Morocco and will be completed in 24 months, will be up to 21,000m2 in size, including a 160-bed hospital, a 40-room boutique hotel, 56 residential apartments, gardens and a swimming pool.
The hospital will receive around 5000 patients annually and will provide residence for their families and friends.
According to the CEO of Tasweek, Masood Al-Awar, choosing Morocco was based on Marrakech’s natural and tourist advantages as well as on its highly-qualified medical doctors and staff.
The ceremony was attended by the Wali (governor) of the Marrakech, Tensift Al Haouz, other Moroccan officials, UAE diplomats and a number of businessmen.
He thanked the ambassador of the UAE to Morocco Al-Asri Al-Daheri for supporting emirati businessmen in order to increase the UAE’s investment in Morocco as well as trade between the two countries.
