Two Policemen Killed in Western Afghanistan

Kabul, June 24 (QNA) – At least two policemen were killed Tuesday in a grenade attack on their security checkpoint in western Afghanistan, police said.

The incident occurred in Obe district at 11 am 0630 GMT , according to Abdul Raof Ahmadi, Herat provincial police spokesman.

“Two armed men on a motorbike, one wearing a burqa, tossed a grenade at a police security checkpoint and fled the area,” he said.

No group claimed immediate responsibility for the attack, dpa reported.(QNA)
