Doha: The world No.1 Argentina made light work of Denmark, winning, as expected, 3-0 in less than two and a half hours to round off their group stage on top, and without dropping any set, in the men's event of Qatar ooredoo World Padel Championship on Wednesday.

France, who created an upset against Paraguay on Tuesday, maintained their unbeaten run after defeating Poland in straight sets (3-0) to top Group D. They advanced from the group alongside Paraguay, who defeated Germany 3-0.

In the other matches in the men's event, Chile won 3-0 against Great Britain while Brazil beat Qatar 3-0. Spain also claimed a 3-0 victory over the USA.

In the women's category, the World No.1 Spain advanced into the last-8 as the group leader after trouncing Japan 3-0 while World No.3 Brazil defeated Paraguay 3-0. The Netherlands lost 0-3 to Belgium while Italy defeated Denmark 3-0. The French ladies, on the other hand, beat their German counterparts 3-0.

The top two teams from each group in both the men and women's events will play in today's quarter-finals.
