The occupation forces detain more than 22 citizens in Yatta and severely beat them

HEBRON – Ma’an – The coordinator of the Popular and National Committees to Resist the Wall and Settlements in southern Hebron, Rateb al-Jabour, said that since the early hours of the morning, the occupation forces have been raiding several citizens’ homes in different areas of the city of Yatta. The Director General of the Education Directorate in Yatta, Yasser Mohammed, announced the suspension of school hours in Yatta and its suburbs to preserve the safety of students and the educational family. The school hours will be “missions” and will be replaced by the day after tomorrow, Thursday.

Al-Jabour added that the occupation forces detained more than 22 citizens and assaulted them during field investigations with them. After their release, a number of them went to the hospital to receive treatment.

Al-Jabour pointed out that the occupation forces fired sound bombs and tear gas canisters towards citizens’ homes, which led to a number of citizens suffering from suffocation and were treated in the field.
