Team Qatar stars shine in shotgun event at Nishan Tournament

DOHA – Team Qatar members have shown high shooting skills in the shotgun event in day four’s competitions of the fourth edition of 2022 Nishan Vodafone Ramadan Tournament held at the Lusail Shooting Range on Friday.

This community tournament is organized under the patronage of the H.E Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani from 3rd to 19th of April, with the participation of more than 500 competitors in both the amateur and professional events.

In Friday’s Men professional category (shotgun event) , Qatar’s shooter, Mohammed Ahmed Al Rumaihi jumped up from the second place to the first place after collected a total of (528 points) , sitting at the top of the standings, as his teammate Masoud Ali Saleh Al Ezbah clinched the second place ( 487 points), Saieed Hamad Aboshareb finished third (474 points), while Saud Ali Al Ezbah and Rashid Hamad Al Ezbah won the fourth and fifth places ( 474 points) and ( 461 points) respectively.

In the women professional category (shotgun event), team Qatar star, Shahad Al Darwish leads the overall standings with total tally of ( 425 points), followed by Fatima Saieed Al Moreikhi (410 points), third place went to Aysha Al Ansari ( 404 points).

On the same track of excellence , Rashid Ghanem Al Hajiri left no stone unturned to lead men’s amateur category standings in the shotgun event ( 444 points), Badr Mubarak Al Mari snatched the second place ( 432 points) and Rashid Ali Rashid finished third ( 426 points).

In the women’s amateur event (shotgun), Sabreen Hassan Al Aedoni leads the overall standings ( 323 points), Hala Al Heiti occupied the second place ( 319 points) while the third place went to Ahlam Mazen Abdulatif (313 points).

This tournament aims to discover the most talented elements in the game , develop their skills and helping clubs and national teams to achieve quantum leap in the game and promoting this sport among citizens and residents whose rate of participation in the game rises sharply year by year.
