Syrian Olympic football team ties with its Saudi counterpart at Arab Games in Algeria

The Syrian Olympic football team tied with its Saudi counterpart 1-1, in the first match of the second group in the 15th Arab Games in Algeria.

The first goal for the Syrian team was scored by footballer, Mardik Mardikian in the 18th minute of the match, while the Saudi national team scored the equalizer through a penalty kick in the stoppage time.

The Syrian Olympic team will play its second match with the Palestinian national team in Constantine city next Wednesday, while in the last match, the Syrian team will meet with Mauritanian team in Annaba city next Saturday

The 1st and 2nd of each group will qualify for the semi-finals, as the Syrian team’s group includes Saudi Arabia, Mauritania and Palestine.
