Sunni Endowments Chairman opens new mosque

Sunni Endowments Council Chairman Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajeri today opened the Youssef in Shaheen bin Sager Al Jalahma Mosque in the area of Jau in the Southern Governorate.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Al Hajeri hailed the role of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in caring for places of worship, extending thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He also highlighted the efforts made by the Sunni Endowments Council board in promoting places of worship and caring for them and engaging donors to construct mosques.

Built on a land covering 5050 square metres, the new mosque has a constructed area of more than 830 square metres, accommodating more than 500 worshippers.
