– Over 70 delegates are receiving insights on organizing major sports events at a two-day course that opened Tuesday at the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha.

– The State of Qatar Tuesday strongly condemned the continued indiscriminate attacks carried out by the Syrian regime forces and their targeting of civilians and civilian targets such as hospitals, schools and places of worship without exception, stressing that the Syrian regime is primarily responsible for the emergence and growth of extremist currents and ideas in Syria and their spread in the region, as well as the dispersal of international efforts aimed to help the Syrian people.

– The State of Qatar reaffirmed its support to efforts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to facilitate countries’ accession to international legal instruments related to nuclear security, noting that it participated in some of these activities and touched their enormous benefits and now is currently considering issue of accession to the 2005 Amendment to the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material (CPPNM).

– Qatari drilling firm Gulf Drilling International has placed its fifth new build order with Keppel FELS for their high-specification KFELS B Class jack-up drilling rig Tuesday.

– Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced Tuesday it will hold its general assembly on December 8.

The association invited clubs participating in the Qatar Stars League and the second division to participate in the meeting. The association is currently working on placing a schedule for the assembly and getting it accredited by FIFA in time by December. (END)
