Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallah hailed His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s keenness to protect Islam and its tolerant faith, which represent the cornerstone of national fundamentals and Islamic values.
He commended the stance taken by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who ordered the Minister of Education to immediately halt any changes made to the Kingdom’s educational curricula that are not compatible with Bahrain’s national values designed to protect religion and its core pillars and ensure educational curricula adhere to Islamic teachings, in line with the National Action Charter and the Constitution.
“Isamic religion and its constants are a red line that cannot be touched or tampered with by any party and under any justification”, he said, noting defending and protecting the Islamic religion and countering confronting attempts to undermine is the duty and responsibility of everyone.
Al Musallam commended the commitment of the legislative branch to supporting and reinforcing adherence to well-established national and Islamic constants.
“This stance represents all the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain, history, present and future”, he said, reiterating commitment to the lofty royal approach and expressing pride in the true Islamic religion and its tolerant precepts.
