Manama, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, congratulated Dr. Ahmed bin Alawi bin Hafeedh Baaboud on his appointment as Secretary-General of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) at its 36th conference which was held in Algeria. Al Musallam wished Dr. Baaboud success in his duties and in supporting Arab parliamentary cooperation. He also lauded the efforts of Fayez Al Shawabkah, former AIPU Secretary General.
