The Shura Council took part in the meeting of the Palestine Committee in the Arab Parliament, held at the Parliament’s headquarters in Cairo, on Tuesday.
HE Member of the Shura Council and Member of the Arab Parliament Sheikha bint Youssef Al Jufairi, represented the State of Qatar in the meeting. The meeting discussed developments in the Gaza Strip and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
HE Sheikha bint Youssef Al Jufairi underlined the State of Qatar’s supportive efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and ensure getting life-saving humanitarian assistance into the enclave permanently.
Her Excellency highlighted the unwavering efforts of the State of Qatar to stop the aggression, in pursuit of stopping the bloodshed, protecting the civilians, getting assistance, and preventing the spillover of the conflict.
During the meeting, Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Mohannad Al Aklouk, apprised members of the committee of the latest
developments in the Gaza Strip.
Upon concluding the meeting, the committee endorsed a draft resolution on the situation in Palestine, along with another draft resolution about the Palestinian women in the occupied territories, in preparation for presenting them to the general session of the Arab Parliament, due to be held at the headquarters of the Arab League, on Saturday.
