Shura Chairman expresses pride in HM King’s efforts to promote global peace, stability

Manama, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, expressed pride in the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to support world peace and human coexistence, and to support dialogue, tolerance and human fraternity among all countries and peoples of the world.

He affirmed that the endeavours led by HM to spread the principles of peace and tolerance in the world, reflect wise vision and a sound approach to consolidate security and stability, and to build bridges for cooperation and building partnerships that serve reaching common development goals.

Al Saleh commended the keenness of HM on strengthening relations with countries across the world, highlighting the talks HM the King held with His Majesty King Charles, III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; His Holiness Pope Francis, Pope of the Catholic Church; Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic and Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy.

He noted the keenness of HM on discussing regional and international developments, particularly the events in the Middle East region and the Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip.

His Majesty reiterated the approach of the kingdom on enhancing regional security and stability and its firm position on reaching a just solution to the Palestinian issue and giving Palestinians their legitimate rights, leading to a two-state solution in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative, in a manner that ensures the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, Al Saleh said.

He stressed that Bahrain, under the leadership of HM, and with the efforts made by the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, will continue humanitarian initiatives, efforts to consolidate peace and coexistence and to promote respect and tolerance.

The Shura Chairman said that Bahrain has been known throughout history for being a melting pot of civilisations, cultures and religions which embraces peace, harmony and human fraternity.
