Shaqab Racing’s NOMAN returns with 2nd straight victory

Al Shaqab Racing’s NOMAN (IRE) (Shalaa x Mathool) made a winning seasonal debut at Ayr on Tuesday, 27 April. The three-year-old colt completed a double on his third career attempt, winning the TV Profits Returned To Racing Novice Stakes, a three-runner 2000-metre Class 5 run for three-year-olds and older, by three quarters of a length for trainer Hugo Palmer with Jason Hart in the saddle. He did not have to force his talent as regards dominating his two rivals. Logic dictated that he looked capable of handling a rise in grade. The David O’Meara-trained and Cam Hardie-helmed DOCTOR PARNASSUS (IRE) (Make Believe x We’ll Go Walking) was the runner-up. The Jim Goldie-trained and Paul Mulrennan-ridden CASTLE VIEW (IRE) (Casamento x Spirit Of The Sea) was further 16 lengths behind. NOMANhad opened his account on only his second start as a two-year-old last season.
