Seven Afghan Army Soldiers Martyred in Zabul Explosion

Kabul, June 23 (QNA) – At least seven Afghan national army (ANA) soldiers were martyred following an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in southern Afghanistan.

Local government officials in southern Zabul province said the incident took place on Monday morning in Shahjoi district, according to Afghan Khaama Press.

Shahjoi district chief, Malik Ali, said the incident took place while the Afghan national army soldiers were moving on Kabul-Kandahar highway.

Ali further added that at least five of soldiers were also injured and their vehicle was damaged following the explosion.

The Taliban group claimed responsibility behind the incident. (QNA)
