Hala Al Ansari, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), received participants of "The Future Bet 2" programme, which is organised by the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour.

Al Ansari highlighted that the programme, which includes youth groups between 18 and 30 years old, was essential for empowering and educating participants on the comprehensive development process, under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The secretary-general said that the SCW, led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of SCW, had confidence in Bahraini youth's ability to contribute to society and develop various sectors.

She highlighted the critical role played by the youth in supporting SCW, which recently celebrated its 22nd anniversary, by participating in the preparation for the National Plan for the Advancement of Women and initiatives associated with Bahraini Women's Day.

Al Ansari provided an overview of the Bahraini women's political participation programme and its role in qualifying women to be actively involved in the election process and preparing them for entering the legislative and municipal councils. The awards and initiatives launched by the Council aimed at strengthening women's leadership roles in various sectors and encouraging youth volunteering.

This was the fifth meeting of the second phase of the "Future Bet 2" programme, which includes several seminars and discussions. The third phase will be titled "Creative Proposals and Initiatives," during which the focus will be on promoting national societal values and raising political awareness among youth.
