SCH President receives participants in seminar on AIDS

President of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received in his office today participants in the symposium on AIDS which was co-organized by the Ministry of Health, the US embassy and the King Hamad American Mission Hospital. Many specialized experts and doctors from Bahrain and abroad took part in the event.

The meeting was held in the presence of Minister of Health Dr Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan and the US embassy Charge D’Affaires David Brownstein.

The SCH President welcomed the attendees and specialists, stressing Bahrain’s achievements in the health sector, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The meeting cast light the outcome of the seminar which spotlighted particularly the main regional challenges in dealing with the HIV virus and preventing it.

The SCH President commended the efforts of the Ministry of Health and the Public Health Directorate in combating AIDS. He also thanked the US embassy, the King Hamad American Mission Hospital and all participants for their remarkable role in organizing the scientific event which aims to increase awareness and knowledge about the disease.
