Saudi Cabinet Welcomes Palestinian National Reconciliation Government

Jeddah, June 09 (QNA) – The saudi cabinet has welcomed the formation of the Palestinian national reconciliation government and considered it as an important step to support the unity of the Palestinian people, calling on the international community to provide means of support and success to this government to be able to carry out its functions in order to restore the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Monday afternoon, following the cabinet session held here on Monday under the chairmanship of the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohiuddin Khoja, said that the Council of Ministers reviewed the latest developments in the region and the world, commending the statement issued by the Ministerial Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Arab States in its regular 131st session and its decisions that confirmed the established positions of the GCC countries towards the developments of joint action and regional and international political and economic issues.

The Council of Ministers condemned the Israeli settlement escalation in Israeli authorities’ announcement of hundreds of tenders for the construction of housing units in the West Bank, including East Al quds, calling on the international community to address these arbitrary actions aimed at undermining the peace process.(QNA)
