The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced early Monday that the air defense forces repelled an attack by Ukrainian drones on the capital, Moscow.
The ministry said in a statement that an attempt by Ukraine to carry out an attack by two drones on targets in the city of Moscow was thwarted, adding that by means of electronic warfare, two drones were intercepted and destroyed without serious damage or injuries.
Last June, Ukraine launched its counteroffensive but has so far made only small gains against Russian forces, which control more than a sixth of Ukraine’s territory after nearly 17 months of war.
