The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today the destruction of 42 drones launched by Ukrainian forces towards the Crimean Peninsula.
In a statement, the ministry said that an attempt by Ukrainian forces to launch drone attacks on "Russian territory" was thwarted, adding that Russian air defense systems detected 42 drones.
Nine of the drones were shot down and 33 others were jammed by electronic warfare equipment and crashed without reaching their targets, the ministry said.
