Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rai, received on Tuesday in Diman, Mufti of Tripoli and the North, Sheikh Mohammad Imam, and Archbishop of the Maronite Archdiocese of Tripoli, Bishop Youssef Soueif.
Discussions reportedly touched on the current conditions in Tripoli and the North, and the practical steps to alleviate people’s suffering and the necessity of dialogue and convergence.
The general situation also featured high on their talks.
Patriarch Rahi later received in Diman, the Consul General of the Republic of Albania in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Albania for Gulf and Middle East Affairs, Mark Gharib, who said on emerging that he discussed with the Patriarch “the current affairs in the country.”
