Quake Jolts Iran’s Kerman Province

Kerman, May 09 (QNA) – An earthquake measuring 4.4 on Richter scale jolted surrounding areas of the town of Kahnouj in southern Iran’s Kerman province on Friday morning, IRNA reported.

According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 10:47 hours local time (06:17 hours GMT).

The epicenter of the earthquake was registered at 27.99 degrees latitude and 57.52 degrees longitude and in depth of 15 kilometers underground.

There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage. (QNA)
