QU SIGNS MOU WITH QATAR CULTURAL AND HERITAGE EVENTS CENTER

Qatar University (QU) and the Qatar Cultural and Heritage Events Center (QCHEC) sign an MoU with the aim of promoting culture, arts, media and research on campus. The MoU also aims to take advantage of the common potential of the two parties, including work in the field survey studies and polling.

The MoU was signed yesterday by Dr. Mohammad Diab, QU’s Associate Vice President for Student Life and Services and Mr. Saleh Ali Al-Marri, QCHEC’s Director of Shared Services Department.

The MoU will offer students training opportunities in the relevant fields as well as cooperation between the two institutions in organizing workshops that will develop students’ organizational, technical and intellectual skills. In addition, the MoU will open the door for joint research projects, academic studies and polls.

In his statement during the signing ceremony, QU’s Dr. Mohammad Diab said, “Today we are honored to receive our guests from the Qatar Cultural and Heritage Events Center, with the aim of signing an MoU that aims to exchange expertise, which will activate and promote cultural and media activities on campus.”

He adds, “Through our conversations about this initiative, and in recognizing the importance of a cultural movement on campus, we have been led to this MoU. Through joining forces with the Center, we will be able to accomplish the tasks set out in the agreement, and we hope to see the results very soon.”

Mr. Saleh Ali Al-Marri of the QCHEC also commented saying, “This MoU comes within the framework of the Qatar Cultural and Heritage Events Center’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with various entities in the country and its openness to support community partnership, in order to lay the foundations for joint cooperation in various relevant fields.”

He also pointed out that the cooperation is aligned with the objectives of the center to support future generations by developing the technical and creative capabilities of those interested in new media, organizing trainings, and promoting participation and love for supporting the community.
