The Fall 2022 semester begins on 21 August 2022
Amendments include a one-month-long vacation during the FIFA World Cup 2022
The Vice President for Student Affairs Office announced the modification of Qatar University’s (QU) calendar for the academic year 2022-2023. The new amendments mean that the beginning of Fall 2022 will now begin on 14 August 2022 for faculty and the start of study for students will begin on 21 August. The Add and Drop period will end on 25 August. In addition, the university will commence its World Cup 2022 vacation from 20 November to 22 December. Students will resume studies on 25 December. The last day of study for the Fall 2022 semester will be on 5 January 2023 and final exams will start on 8 January to 19 January 2023. The Spring 2023 semester will start on 22 January 2023 for faculty, followed by students the week after.
In a statement Dr. Eiman Mustafawi, QU’s Vice President for Student Affairs confirmed that these changes were made to suit the summer leave period for public schools in the country.
