QC, Argentina Chamber of Commerce Sign MoU to Enhance Economic Cooperation

Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QC) and Argentina Chamber of Commerce have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance and diversify trade exchanges and economic cooperation between the two countries.

This came on the sidelines of its participation along with the International Chamber of Commerce - Qatar, in the 13th World Chambers Congress (13th WCC), the world's largest economic forum for chambers and businesses.

This years congress took place in Geneva, Switzerland, from the June 21-23, 2023, under the theme 'Achieving peace and prosperity through multilateralism'.

HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani signed the MoU with President of the Argentina Chamber of Commerce Natalio Mario Grinman.

ICC Qatar convened, hosted, and chaired the last meeting towards the end of its 2nd term. The B-MENA RCG Meeting took place on the sidelines of the 13th WCC, with 11 national committees (NCs) in attendance.

The meeting was an opportunity for NCs; to address their ongoing operations; build cooperation; shed light on the progress of ICC projects, and for new topics to emerge. Chairman of ICC Georgia and ICC Special Representative of the Secretary-General for the Caucasus and Central Asia Fady Asly was elected as successor for the ICC Regional Coordinator role for the ICC B-MENA RCG.

Furthermore, Qatar Chamber Board Member, Dr. Khalid Al Hajri met with Senior Advisor to the President of the Uganda Chamber of Commerce, D. Bikhado Ofungi, to design the path for increased cooperation between the Uganda Chamber of Commerce and Qatar Chamber, which will involve facilitating B2b engagements between both members of the chambers of commerce, driving foreign direct investments and economic cooperation.
