Doha -Qatar's diplomatic, consular and representative missions abroad continued to celebrate National Day, which falls on Dec. 18 each year, under the theme of "Promise of Prosperity and Glory" to commemorate the founder Sheikh Jassem bin Mohammed bin Thani.
HE Ambassador of Qatar to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Hassan bin Mohamed Rafei Al Emadi, held a reception for Qatar National Day.
HE Union Minister for Office of the State Counsellor and Acting Foreign Minister, U Kyaw Tint Swe, attended the event along with HE Union Minister for International Cooperation, U Kyaw Tin, as well as a number of ministers and officials in the government and parliament.
In addition, a number of officials from the Foreign Ministry attended the event besides political and economical figures, members of the Arab and Muslim communities and heads of Arab and foreign accredited diplomatic missions.
During his speech, HE the ambassador highlighted the development of the relations between both countries and both sides' keenness to strengthen the cooperation in all fields.
The event presented manifestations of urban renaissance, folklore and national songs of the State of Qatar.
International newspapers highlighted the Qatari embassies' celebrations for the National Day and included a number of interviews with Their Excellencies the ambassadors. The speeches delivered during the celebrations were also of interest to newspapers.
HE Ambassador of Qatar to the Kingdom of Spain Mohammad Jaham Al Kuwari wrote a letter that was published in newspapers such as La Vanguardia and the news website El Diario. The letter said that in light of the siege imposed on the State of Qatar by its neighbors, it refused revenge and calls for dialogue in order to consolidate security and stability in the regions.
HE the ambassador added that Qatar looks to the future and promotes humanitarian, cultural, educational and sports projects, as well as works hard to solve youth unemployment.
Galicia Digital published an article by Joaquin Antuna that spoke about the words of HE Qatar's ambassador to Spain in celebration of the National Day, saying that Qatar will use the 2022 World Cup to showcase its strengths and reforms in social aspects and to improve the status of women and foreign workers besides demonstrating its friendship and relationship with the Spanish people.
During the event, HE Al Kuwari said the Qatari people will keep their firm commitment to the future, dialogue and freedoms. He also praised the distinguished relations between Qatar and Spain, which are characterized by friendship, mutual respect and based on multiple pillars.
For its part, the newspapers in Oman highlighted the achievements of the State of Qatar on the anniversary of its national day, Oman and Al Watan newspapers said that Qatar is celebrating its national day with achievements at all levels, adding that Qatar continues the journey with determination towards noble objectives and noble goals at all levels in all sectors, internally and externally, in fulfillment of its principles and values.
Most of the Chinese media (newspapers, channels and websites) talked about the celebrations of Qatar Embassy in the People's Republic of China on the occasion of the celebration of the National Day.
HE Qatar's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China Sultan Salmeen Almansouri, praised the depth of the Qatari-Chinese relations and the development of the State of Qatar.
Media in Cuba also highlighted Qatar's national day celebrations. HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Cuba Rashid Mirza Al Mulla, said that we celebrate this day with joy because it represents the inseparable unity between the people and their leaders under the rule and leadership of Al-Thani.
In his interview published by the Workers' Union newspaper in Cuba HE said that the Qatari people continue to enjoy high economic and social prosperity, security and confidence under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
His Excellency added that one of the most important pillars of Qatar's foreign policy is neutrality and mediation in resolving disputes and crises in the countries of the region.
A weekly newspaper related to Prensa Latina Agency conducted an interview with His Excellency on Qatar's national day celebrations, and the activity organized at the embassy premises on environmental and technical awareness with a school in Havana.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Education, Ambassador and acting Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department Roberto Blanco, representatives of the Cuban Government ,international organizations of the United Nations and heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to Havana.
In Algeria, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi held a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar.
The ceremony was attended by HE Algeria's Minister of Energy Mustapha Guitouni, HE Minister of Finance in Algeria Abderrahmane Raouya, a number of government officials, members of parliament, political parties, national figures and media personnel in Algeria.
HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam Saleh bin Mohammed Al Nesf held a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar.
The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Pehin Datu Halbi bin Haji Mohammed Yussof, as the guest of honor representing the Brunei Darussalam Government, senior officials, dignitaries, heads of accredited diplomatic missions, businessmen, media and the Arab community living in Brunei.
At the Qatar Consulate in Milan, HE Consul General of the State of Qatar in Milan Fahad bin Ibrahim Al Mushiri held a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar in Milan, Italy.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials, heads of accredited diplomatic missions, community and public figures in Milan.
In his speech, Qatar's Consul welcomed the attendance at the National Day ceremony and praised the development of bilateral relations between Qatar and Italy in various fields.
For his part, Charge d'Affaires of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Liberia Shamsan Abdullah Al Sada held a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar in Monrovia.
The ceremony was attended by a number of officials, community and public figures in Liberia.
In Karachi, Deputy Charge d'affaires in the Consulate General of Qatar in Pakistan's Karachi Mubarak bin Saeed Obaid Al Marri held a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day in Karachi.
The ceremony was attended by HE Governor of Sindh Province Muhammad Zubair Umar as the guest of honor, HE Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, and a number of ministers, members of the parliament and senior officials of Sindh Province as well as the heads and representatives of accredited diplomatic missions, businessmen, community figures, public figures and Qatari students in Karachi.
HE Governor of Sindh Province praised the strong relations between Qatar and Pakistan, stressing the need to strengthen relations and increase the volume of trade exchange and investment. He thanked the leadership of the State of Qatar for the continued support of Pakistan.
