Qatar’s Ambassador to the EU Receives Legal Document of Proposal to Exempt Qataris from Schengen Visa

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki received the legal document of the European Commission's proposal regarding the exemption of citizens of the State of Qatar from the Schengen visa.

This came during the meeting between HE Ambassador Al Malki and HE Vice President of the European Commission for Promoting the European Way of Life Margaritis Schinas.

HE Ambassador stressed that this announcement is the culmination of the efforts of all parties in the country to move forward with the file of exempting citizens of the State of Qatar from the Schengen visa.

On Wednesday, the European Commission announced the inclusion of Qatar on the list of countries whose citizens are exempt from the Schengen visa, and confirmed its submission of this proposal to the European Parliament and Council for approval.
