Qatar’s Ambassador to Mexico: Qatar Made Several Reforms in Labor Market

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Mexico Mohammed bin Jassim Al Kuwari said that the state has carried out multiple reforms in the labor market including the minimum wage for employees and determining working hours in a hot climate, stressing that the State of Qatar supports human rights.

In an interview with Mexican Milenio TV, HE the Ambassador described the reports about the death of 10,000 workers during the construction of the 2022 Qatar World Cup stadiums as rumors, pointing to the International Labor Organization's praise of the State of Qatar in the field of protecting workers' rights.

He pointed out that the State of Qatar has vaccinated a large number of its population against the coronavirus (COVID-19), indicating that the vaccination program will cover everyone soon.

HE the Ambassador explained that Mexicans can enter Qatar now and until the World Cup without a visa and it is possible to enter Qatar without quarantine if the person has been vaccinated.
