In its editorial, Al-Sharq newspaper highlighted the significant role played by the State of Qatar to achieve Sustainable Development Goals at local, regional, and international levels through tackling humanitarian and economic challenges, in solidarity with international efforts aimed at spreading security, peace, and ensuring decent human life. Al-Sharq added that Qatar has emerged as an active partner in the international community to enhance and achieve humanitarian and developmental goals. Through its continuous cooperation and support for the United Nations and its agencies, Qatar has proven to be a reliable partner in global humanitarian response efforts, especially amidst increasing humanitarian needs worldwide due to natural disasters and armed conflicts. The newspaper noted that the unprecedented humanitarian disaster faced by civilians in Gaza, worsening daily due to Israeli aggression, serves as an example of Qatar's response, as it provided various humanitarian aids despite challenges and obsta cles. Al-Sharq editorial concluded by saying that Qatar's prominent international presence and the leading role it play in multiple humanitarian efforts through its strategic partnership with the United Nations have made it a force for good in the world. In local affairs, Al-Watan focused on the development of formal education in the State of Qatar, adding that due to the tremendous efforts exerted by our wise leadership, schools, universities, colleges, research centers, and training facilities were established, contributing to the development of human resources skills. The newspaper highlighted Qatar's initiative launched in 2004 under the slogan 'Education for a New Era,' aimed at developing public education in the country and providing the best educational opportunities for its children, in line with Qatar Vision 2030 to build Qatari individuals capable of effective participation in all aspects of life. Al-Watan concluded by saying that the day in which results of the first round of secondary school c ertificate exams are announced is a significant occasion and a step towards a journey filled with challenges and achievements for students. It is also an exceptional day in the educational journey, confirming that things are progressing in the right direction to make education in Qatar a true beacon of progress in all fields of our society. Meanwhile, The Peninsula newspaper said that the State of Qatar is set to continue the FIFA World Cup 2022 legacy by bringing major sports events particularly football tournaments home for many years to come. But its not just about hosting the competitions; Qatar is also bracing to make great strides in its domestic football with the national team also coming closer to making history in international football. In its editorial, the newspaper added that Qatar become an ideal destination for the mega events particularly after it hosted the best-ever edition of the FIFA showpiece, winning hosting rights for many events slated to be held in the coming years. Among these even ts are the five consecutive editions of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will take place at the countrys world class venues from 2025 to 2029. In addition to that, the FIFA Arab Cup will also return to Qatar, which will be home to three tournaments in 2025, 2029 and 2033 bringing together the elite sides of the region. The Peninsula concluded by pointing out that Qatar is also hoping to take a step forward in international football as Al Annabi are looking to make history by qualifying for the World Cup for the first time after making its debut in the tournament as the hosts two years ago.
