The center held a key role in selecting research topics every year based on important events that the world is witnessing, which led to a great and comprehensive shift and expansion in the areas of research creativity that young people can contribute. The center is also keen every year to select a committee of arbitrators and experts from professors and researchers with great contributions in the field of research from inside and outside Qatar University, to evaluate the contributions submitted in the form of research or posters on scientific basis.

Prof. Noora Al-Thani, Director of Qatar University Young Scientists Center, said, “Universities have the largest and most important role in the movement of scientific research and development, as they are the highest educational and research institutions. Qatar University has always been a pioneer in achieving important strategies and aspirations to ensure the country's progress and spread the benefit to the world.”
