Qatar Takes Over Presidency of Arab Ambassadors Council in Vienna

The State of Qatar took over the presidency of the current session of the Arab Ambassadors Council in Vienna. HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Federal Republic of Austria Sultan bin Salmeen Al-Mansoori chaired the meeting of the Council, which was held remotely.

At the outset of the meeting, members of the Council of Arab Ambassadors congratulated the Qatari ambassador on assuming the presidency of the Council, stressing their readiness to cooperate with him in a way that supports the drive of joint Arab action.

Members of the Council also commended the great success achieved by the State of Qatar in hosting the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, in preparation for organizing of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

For his part, HE Ambassador Sultan bin Salmeen Al-Mansoori affirmed his keenness on making the Council’s work a success and on supporting the Arab-Austrian relations.

They reviewed the most important issues on the agenda, most notably preparation for the session of the Board of Governors of the International Energy Agency, scheduled for next March, preparation for the first Arab conference on the role of Arab migrant health competencies in supporting health systems in Arab countries, which will be held in Cairo on March 16, in addition to the results of the ninth session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which was held in Sharm El Sheikh last December.
