Doha, October 17 (QNA) – Qatar Museum Authority (QMA) has been nominated for the worldwide-known international Cannes festival award 2012 for the best film editing category of a documentary short-film entitled “Be Amusing”. The film, produced by Resolution Productions, is the creation of QMA’s human resources team to sport Qatar career fair that was held last February in London.
The film links between a local and an international vision of the QMA, as well as displaying the Authority’s work environment.
In a statement contained in a press release here on Wednesday, Head of QMA’s Human resources Sector Shorouq Al Malki said that was the first time ever a GCC state organization be nominated for this prestigious award.
She said QMA s nomination for a Cannes award is deemed a major headway placing Qatar among top Global theatres.
Meanwhile, Managing Director and Owner of Resolution Productions, Kirby Kearns, said the film s nomination for the award is a culmination of the team’s work and their ability to produce a competitive film worth appearing in Cannes International Film Festival.
The festival is annually held in France gathering a huge number of film industry icons. (QNA)
