Qatar Exchange Index Drops 637.26 Points This Week

Doha, June 26 (QNA) – Qatar Exchange index lost 637.26 points (5.12%) this week when the bourse closed at 11,816.50 points Thursday.

The trading value of QR 2,258,318,145.16 this week is decrease by 28.31% compared to QR 3,150,311,424.60 last week.

The trading volume of 45,059,381 shares is a decrease by 32.43% compared to 66,687,395 shares while the 31,168 transactions is a
drop by 33.59% compared to 46,935 transactions last week.

Market capitalization of QR 643,796,195,982.72 is a drop by 5.54% compared to QR 681,578,355,544.47 at the end of previous week.

Banks and financial services led the traded value this week, accounting for 47.59% of the total traded value. Industries accounted for 19.96%. Real estate accounted for 11.73%, and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 7.15%.

Banks and financial services sector led the traded volume with 36.63% of the total traded volume. Real estate accounted for 22.86%. Industries accounted for 14.09%, and telecoms accounted for 10.93%.

Banks and financial services topped the number of transactions with 37.75% of the total transactions. Industries accounted for 24.30%. Real estate accounted for 15.49%, and Consumer Goods and Services accounted for 7.68%.

From the 43 listed companies seven ended this week higher and while 36 fell.

Masraf Al Rayan led the traded value this week with 16.87% of the total traded value, Qatar National Bank accounted for 12.87% and Industries Qatar accounted for 5.95%. (QNA)
