Qatar Charity’s delegation visits Kosovo

Qatar Charity (QC), as part of its ‘Ramadan of Hope’ drive, organized a field visit for a delegation of Qatari volunteers to Kosovo.

The visit comes to follow up on and monitor the implementation of the Ramadan campaign's projects and closely see the conditions of those sponsored by Qatar Charity, underprivileged families and the vulnerable like widows and orphans to assess their needs.

The delegation included several employees of Qatar Charity, a group of Qatari activists and volunteers, in addition to media personalities and social media influencers.

The delegation participated in distributing food packages that contained essential food items to underprivileged families, benefiting 110 households.

The delegation also visited an underprivileged family who was on the waiting list for sponsorship, and was sponsored on the same day with the support of philanthropists in Qatar.

The delegation participated in the collective iftar of orphans who receive training at the Qatar Training Center, and visited the home of an orphaned girl sponsored by Qatar Charity.

Empowerment Projects

The delegation visited many economic empowerment projects implemented by Qatar Charity like the 120-square-meter greenhouse project that produces strawberries and various vegetables, and employs 13 family members.

The delegation also payed a visit to the residential complex, which was built by Qatar Charity and consists of 40 homes, a school, a mosque, a clinic, a social center, shops, and an administrative headquarters. More than 8000 people benefit from its services.

Cultural Center

The delegation also visited the project site of the ‘Islamic Cultural Center’, which will consist of 4 floors, three of which will be a mosque with a capacity of 1,300 people and a floor will have shops, a library and Quran learning class rooms.

Besides, many food security, apiary, and sheep farming projects were also visited by the delegation.

It is worth mentioning that a delegation of Qatar Charity has recently visited southern Turkey to participate in the distribution of food packages, and follow up on the projects being implemented under the ‘Ramadan of Hope’ drive in the Syrian refugee camps in Turkey.
