President’s initiatives follow up committee surveys old houses to start building replacements

WAM ABU DHABI: The Committee on Following up on the Implementation of the President’s initiatives has started surveying dwellings constructed before 1990 as part of a plan to replace them with ten thousand villas according to the recent AED 10 billion grant by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for nationals nationwide.

As a gift to his people on the 41st UAE National Day, President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced the launch of the 10,000-unit housing programme throughout the country.

The surveys are being made at full-speed in line with orders by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa and instructions by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs and chairman of the committee, Ahmad Juma Al Za’abi, stressed in remarks at a meeting at the meeting.

The generous initiative reflects the genuine vision of the President to ensure decent living conditions for citizens, and the new units will be built the according to the best housing standards.
