President al-Assad receives Iranian Foreign Minister Abdollahian, discuss unifying efforts to stop Israel’s crimes

Damascus, President Bashar al-Assad, meeting with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs and his accompanying delegation, affirmed Syria’s support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate struggle against the Israeli occupation to restore their rights that have been stolen for more than seven decades.

His Excellency stressed the danger of what the occupation army is doing in terms of bombing the civilians in the Gaza Strip, underlining the necessity to unify stance to stop the crimes committed by Israel that use internationally prohibited weapons.

President al-Assad added that the massacres committed today by the occupying entity are an attempt to exert pressure on the Palestinian people to give up their legitimate rights, stressing that the continued denial of Palestinians’ right to establish their independent state and live with dignity is the main reason for what they are witnessing.

The region will not experience stability if the Zionist entity and Western countries continue this denial, President al-Assad went on to say, adding that the entity must implement international resolutions related to withdrawal from the occupied territories.

President al-Assad and Abdollahian also discussed developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the dangerous Israeli escalation in Gaza and the West Bank, and stressed their support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

Minister Abdollahian stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts to stop the crimes committed by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people.
