Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Political Affairs Undersecretary at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, held a meeting with Ahmed Hussen, the Canadian Minister of International Development, on the sidelines of their participation in the sixth session of the Paris Peace Forum devoted to discussing challenges related to protecting the planet and people, digital security, accelerating the achievement of sustainable development goals, establishing peace and building a safer world.
The two sides reviewed the Bahraini-Canadian political and economic cooperation relations, as well as ways to enhance them in a way that achieves the common interests of both countries and their peoples.
They also discussed regional and international developments within the framework of the two countries’ keenness to ensure the establishment of a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip, protect civilians, and meet their needs for medical, food and relief assistance, in addition to backing efforts aimed at bringing about just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East region.
