DOHA, Qatar, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani, visited Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) in Doha, on Tuesday.
During the visit, the Prime Minister listened to a detailed explanation by senior officials at the centre, about the strategy adopted and the achievements accomplished.
The officials also briefed the Prime Minister about the centre's future plans, Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre and Qatar Finance and Business Academy.
The Prime Minister's visit included the Commercial Section of the centre, Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre, which is an independent court, affiliated to the QFC, and Qatar Finance and Business Academy, which is QFC's educational arm.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the pivotal role of QFC, as one of the"most important pillars of strengthening the national economy" and the significance of its role in creating a"successful and distinct global financial business environment in Qatar and the region."
The Prime Minister praised the centre's contribution to the efforts of diversifying Qatar's economy, and to supporting the State's march towards achieving the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The Prime Minister was accompanied during the visit, by Minister of Finance, Ali Shareef al Emadi and senior officials at QFC.
